SJV Water is at the tail end of our annual fundraiser with NewsMatch, a national organization that helps nonprofit newsrooms raise money.
Now through Dec. 31, one-time donations up to $1,000 per individual and recurring gifts (that’s subscriptions for us) are eligible to be matched up to $14,000.
That means SJV Water could earn up to $28,000, which is BIG money for us.
What do we do with all that money?
Well, it goes to everything involved with running a news site from the internet connection to paying SJV Water’s dynamo intern, Jesse Vad.
SJV Water is totally reader supported through donations and paid subscriptions. We are fiercely independent and dedicated to covering how the San Joaquin Valley’s water is used, moved, traded and sold. And how all that affects the people who live here.
